Latest News - Updated 28 August 2018

This September will see the British Historic Kart Club coming to Dunkeswell as part of the September Championship Round. They will take part in the Saturday Open Practice before putting on 4 x 5 minute demonstration runs on the Sunday. This is a great opportunity to see the history of karting at an iconic circuit. We are working on some other things to make this already special event even more memorable so watch this space. Also joining us are the Formula Blue drivers from the 2 Counties Kart Club for the first of two of the visits to the circuit in 2018. This is going to be a great weekend showcasing the History of karting at the best track in the South West.

Please note that the closing date for entries is midnight on the Monday prior to the race meeting. The reason for this is that the club needs to arrange ambulance and marshall cover based on the number of entrants as well as ensuring there are the required amount of trophies. Due to the high number of late entries being received, it is making the race meeting difficult to administer and therefore any entry received AFTER the deadline will incur a £10 administration surcharge - There will no exceptions made for this. Please help us by getting your entry in in a timely manner. Please note that the club has a limited number of Transponders for emergency use. The Blue Book clearly states that it is the competitors responsibility to have a transponder for racing purposes.

Lets Go Karting Is Back!

The Let's Go Karting scheme is back and it has been improved for 2015! Please email jimbee@dunkeswellkartclub.co.uk to book your slot.
The club supports the MSA's introduction to karting programme.
We have 2 cadet karts that are available to allow new drivers from 8 to 11 (height depending) to try out the sport without having to invest in all the kit before they know if they like it or not.
The LGK session runs for approximately 30 minutes and includes a full safety briefing, kart familiarisation and opportunity to drive. We will provide a race suit, neck brace, gloves and and helmet. The session will be fully supervised by an instructor at all times although it must be stressed that motorsport is dangerous and all drivers take part at their own risk. All drivers must be accompanied by a parent.(Bring your camera!)
Cost for each session is £25 and is weather dependent.
For more details email jimbee@dunkeswellkartclub.co.uk to make a booking.
