Latest News - Updated 22 May 2016

Latest News:Non Licenced Practice for Seniors on Race weekends. Due to demand, we have decided to allow Senior Non-Licenced Drivers to practice on Race Weekend Saturdays. These will be run as separate sessions probably slotted in between Seniors & 177's. If this is well supported we will look to extend to Juniors. We are also introducing a Practice Membership so that regulars can benefit from discounted practice fees. This will cost £30 and allow holders to practice at Members rates saving them over £120 till the end of the year!

Round 4 - Is open! This month we welcome back the TKM's for Round 3 of the Challenge Cup. This would have been the Southern Champs round for the class so we are expecting a few more this month. As always, please get your entry in as soon as you can so we can gauge numbers and grids. We will aim to run seperate Minimax/Jnr Rotax grids providing the numbers are there. For the Open Practice Day we will be running Licenced/Non Licenced Senior Sessions and may be expanding this to Race Weekends to encourage more drivers to Go Racing!

Live Streaming across all 4 camera's can be accessed via: http://dunkeswellkartclub.co.uk/live-webcam.html

Transponders. You may run the X2 Transponder or the Tranx160 as they have been cleared for use.

Please note that the club has a limited number of Transponders for emergency use. The Blue Book clearly states that it is the competitors responsibility to have a transponder for racing purposes.

Please note that the closing date for entries is midnight on the Monday prior to the race meeting. The reason for this is that the club needs to arrange ambulance and marshall cover based on the number of entrants as well as ensuring there are the required amount of trophies. Due to the high number of late entries being received, it is making the race meeting difficult to administer and therefore any entry received AFTER the deadline will incur a £10 administration surcharge - There will no exceptions made for this. Please help us by getting your entry in in a timely manner.

Lets Go Karting Is Back!

The Let's Go Karting scheme is back and it has been improved for 2015! Please email jimbee@dunkeswellkartclub.co.uk to book your slot. The basic LGK sessions will run for complete newcomers to karting and an enhanced coached session with full track access for drivers with some experience run by Jon Muir of The Edge Motorsport.

The club supports the MSA's introduction to karting programme.
We have 2 cadet karts that are available to allow new drivers from 8 to 11 (height depending) to try out the sport without having to invest in all the kit before they know if they like it or not.
The LGK session runs for approximately 30 minutes and includes a full safety briefing, kart familiarisation and opportunity to drive. We will provide a race suit, neck brace, gloves and and helmet. The session will be fully supervised by an instructor at all times although it must be stressed that motorsport is dangerous and all drivers take part at their own risk. All drivers must be accompanied by a parent.(Bring your camera!)

Cost for each session is £20 and is weather dependent.

For more details email jimbee@dunkeswellkartclub.co.uk to make a booking.
